AFRICAN COALITION FOR SOCIAL IMPACT (ACSI)
The Africa Coalition for Social Impact (ACSI) is a network of grassroots organizations working together to maximize the impact of community-led response and development action, scaling of impact and wholistic approach to development. ACSI members plan together, act together, and learn together to accelerate positive impact in the communities we serve.
Livelihood Sector
- Provide business enterprise training to community groups (Teachers/instructors, Youth and Guardian)
- Empower in and out of school youth with skills training to continue learning
- Strengthen the agricultural extensional network to deliver climate smart agricultural techniques and provision of seeds to households
Distribution of the seeds
The seeds distribution was done on 21st February, 2022 to 360 families of vulnerable refugees (new arrivals) from Rubondo sub-camp. The distribution targeted three villages Of Rubondo: Karitima A, Rwoma A, and Kisura C. 120 households from each village were served and every family was given 5kgs of bean seed and 5kgs of maize seed. This activity enabled 12 refugees to be employed as part time workers including the Chairmen of the latter villages who were acting as supervisors of the distribution centers in collaboration with the CEBUNA staff who were involved in the task
CEBUNA provided tool kits to the teams of young entrepreneurs and sole proprietor with small busisnesses in Nakivale refugee settlement (150 young refugees were supported)
